Andrew RoweAndrew G Rowe, Chief Executive Officer

Andrew Rowe has 25 years of progressive experience in leading growth-oriented businesses in the healthcare, technology and industrial sectors.  He joined AllMed in 2002.

Prior to that Mr. Rowe served as Executive Vice President, shareholder and Board member of Cascade General in Portland, Oregon.  Under his leadership, the company grew from $44 million to over $110 million in average annual revenues.  Prior to that, Mr. Rowe was Vice President at Adept Technology, a Silicon Valley start-up which grew to international leadership in factory automation robotics and software supplied to Fortune 500/Global 2000 manufacturers.  He had P&L responsibility for more than $60 million in revenues and managed both domestic and international field operations.  The company went through a successful IPO in 1995.

Mr. Rowe holds a BA “with distinction” in International Economics and Latin American studies from George Washington University.

Dr. FreedmanSkip Freedman, M.D., Executive Medical Director

A longtime emergency room physician, Dr. Freedman joined AllMed in the spring of 2000 as Associate Medical Director, and became Executive Medical Director in August 2000, purchasing the company from its previous owner.  He is an accomplished entrepreneur and manager in the medical services field. 

From 1989 to 2000 Dr. Freedman was the founder, President and Medical Director of Oregon Emergency Medicine Specialists, which managed the emergency departments at Tuality Community Hospital and Tuality Forest Grove Hospital and grew to over $3 million in annual revenues.  Prior to that, he was Medical Director for EmCare, Inc., a Dallas, Texas-based operator of hospital emergency rooms, where he supervised 35 emergency departments with over 250 physicians in five states.  Dr. Freedman is also Medical Director for Washington County Emergency Medical Services, where he directs over 90 Emergency Medical Technicians and is the physician in charge of all ambulance care. 

Dr. Freedman is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College and Yale University.  He is licensed to practice emergency medicine in nine states, and is board certified.

Karen FreedmanKaren Freedman, Vice President

Karen Freedman is a long time physical therapist who specialized in neurological rehabilitation of adults and children and in pain management.  In August 2000 when she and Dr. Freedman purchased AllMed she applied her vast experience with medical regulatory compliance to spearhead a successful accreditation of the company by a leading national accreditation company, URAC. AllMed has remained in good standing and successfully attained re-accreditation status for three years in 2004.

As Vice President of Professional Standards and HIPAA Officer, Ms. Freedman has the overall responsibility for the regulatory compliance program of AllMed, which encompasses reviewer credentialing, governmental compliance, accreditation standards compliance, Quality Management, and HIPAA compliance.

From 1981 until 1989, Ms. Freedman was the administrator and director of several multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs in Texas and Oregon.

Brian VervynckBrian Vervynck, Vice President of Sales

Brian Vervynck began his career in healthcare in 1975 and over the last thirty years he has held a variety of positions with leading and start-up companies in health care.  Prior to his current position, Brian was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Calypso Healthcare Solutions and in recent years he served as Vice President of Sales for American Health Holding and Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for McKesson – Access Health Group.  Brian held senior management positions at established health care organizations including TOKOS Medical Corporation and IVAC Corporation as well as start-up companies such as Paradigm Health Corporation and Health InterLink Solutions.

Brian attended the University of Washington, holds an undergraduate degrees from Western Washington University and has completed executive graduate programs at UCLA.  He also served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.

Patty WallacePatty Wallace, Clinical/Operations Manager

Patty Wallace is responsible for overseeing the administrative and customer service team which produces and transmits AllMed’s medical reviews to our clients.  She has 35 years of progressive experience in administrative operations.  Prior to joining AllMed in 2003, Patty spent ten years at Oligos, a leading biotech firm which developed DNA/RNA research.  She also worked for many years in the chiropractic and educational sectors.

 

Chris SenzChris Senz, Director of Professional Standards/Privacy Officer

Chris has over 15 years experience in healthcare working on accreditation, quality improvement, utilization management and external quality review projects. She has worked in both health plan and external vendor arenas. Throughout her career she has served in various roles as Data Analyst, Systems Manager, Customer Service Manager, Quality Manager, Compliance Officer, Utilization Management Manager, and her most recent role as Director of Professional Standards/Privacy Officer for AllMed. Chris’ breadth of experience crosses Medicare, Medicaid and private/commercial health insurance throughout Oregon and Washington as well as project-oriented quality activities in multiple other states. Chris holds a B.S. in Political Science and an M.A. in Organizational Management and has taught college courses in teamwork, cultural diversity, introduction to healthcare and finance for Chemeketa Community College and Axia University.

Sue Loomis

Sue M. Loomis, Manager of Accounting & Human Resources

Sue Loomis started with Allmed in September of 2008 and is the Accounting and Human Resource Manager.   In that capacity, she is responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including daily accounting duties, cash flow analysis, generation of monthly financials, financial forecasting, maintaining relationships with clients with respect to financial matters as well as managing the human resource function for the company.

Prior to working at AllMed, Sue has had 25+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, financial consulting and management, with the last 18 years as an independent accountant for many different clients.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Accounting from Oregon State University, and earned her MBA from the University of Portland.

 

Gordon Ferlitsch

Gordon Ferlitsch, Chief Technology Officer

Gordon is in charge of managing all aspects of AllMed’s IT function. Working closely with other senior executives, Gordon is responsible for seeing that the company is effectively utilizing existing and emerging technologies to drive business results.

Gordon’s previous role was Vice President of Technology for TransCore’s Portland, Oregon based Commercial Services division where he was responsible for the executive management of product development, systems operations, technology services and business applications functions. Prior to that, Gordon was Vice President of Engineering for Portland, Oregon based Integrated Information Systems (formerly STEP Technology) where he was responsible for delivery of software engineering, Web development and IT consulting services. Gordon has served in software engineering positions for notable firms such as IBM and Metheus Corporation. Earning his BSCS at Oregon State University, Gordon received further training at the IBM MVS Operating System School in San Jose California.
