ACL Surgery

A reconstruction surgery that replaces the ligament in the center of the knee with a new ligament. ACL reconstruction is surgery to replace a torn ligament. The procedure is usually performed by knee arthroscopy. ACL reconstructions are recommended for knee problems such as instability, giving away, knee pain and inability to play sports or other activities. ACL reconstruction is usually a very successful surgery. Up to 90% of patients will have a stable knee that does not give away after ACL reconstruction.
