Cancer
The uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Cancerous cells are also called malignant cells. The three most common cancers in men in the United States are prostate cancer, lung cancer and colon cancer. The three most common cancers in women in the United States are breast cancer, lung cancer and colon cancer. Diagnostic exams and tests for cancers include CT scans, complete blood counts, blood chemistries, biopsies and chest X-rays. Treatment options depend on the type and severity of the cancer.
