Capsule Endoscopy

An imaging device used to detect gastrointestinal diseases such as Crohn’s disease, gastric ulcers and colon cancer. A capsule endoscopy is used as a less-invasive procedure in placement of a traditional endoscope. The patient swallows the capsule which then travels through the digestive systems, taking images.
