Chemotherapy Related Nausea
Nausea and vomiting are common side effects of chemotherapy treatment for cancer. Certain chemotherapy drugs are more likely to cause nausea and vomiting than others. Personal factors that may increase a patient’s risk of nausea and vomiting with chemotherapy include being a woman, younger than 50, past experience of nausea and vomiting with previous treatments, history of motion sickness, high level of anxiety and history of morning sickness during pregnancy. Anti-nausea medications can be taken to curb the nausea and vomiting.
