Epidural Injection

A steroid injection that may be used to reduce pain caused by spinal disorders of the cervical and lumbar areas, such as a herniated disc, degenerative disc or spinal stenosis. The medicine in the epidural injection is usually a combination of a local anesthetic and a steroid. There are three ways to perform an epidural injection including caudal block, translumbar and transforaminal.
