External Hearing Aids

An electroacoustic body-worn apparatus which typically fits in or behind a patient’s ear, designed to amplify and modulate sounds. Many types of external hearing aids exist, including behind the ear aids (BTE), in the ear aids (ITE) and receiver in the ear aids (RITE). The different types range in size, power and circuitry and are ideal for a variety of patients.
