Long QT Syndrome

A heart condition associated with the prolongation of repolarization following depolarization of the cardiac ventricles. Common symptoms include syncope and sudden death due to ventricular arrhythmias. Other associated syndromes include Jervell and Lange-Nielson syndrome and Romano-Ward syndrome. Diagnosis includes a LQTS diagnostic score based on several criteria. Treatment options include arrhythmia prevention and arrhythmia termination.
