Migraine

Severe, recurrent headaches that are generally accompanied by other symptoms such as visual disturbances or nausea. Migraine headaches can be categorized into classic and common. Classic migraines have an "aura" or warning associated with it. A common migraine does not have a warning. Symptoms of migraines include throbbing, pounding or pulsating pain; intense pain in the temple; nausea and vomiting; dizziness; loss of appetite; fatigue; visual disturbances; irritability; numbness; weakness or tingling; eye pain; and extreme sensitivity to light. As there is no specific cure for migraines, treatment options are more preventive. A treatment plan may include medications, biofeedback, lifestyle changes, dietary or herbal supplements, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, physical therapy, homeopathy and hypnosis.
