Occupational Therapy

The use of productive or creative activity in the treatment or rehabilitation of physically, cognitively or emotionally disabled people. Occupational therapy is good for patients with Parkinson’s disease, psoriatic arthritis, nerve dysfunction or general paresis. Services of occupational therapy typically include customized intervention programs to improve one’s ability to perform daily activities; comprehensive home and job site evaluations with adaptation recommendations; performance skills assessments and treatments; adaptive equipment recommendations and usage training; and guidance to family members and caregivers.
