Panniculectomy

An invasive surgical procedure that removes the excess skin and fat of the pannus from the lower abdomen. Panniculectomies are ideal for patients who have lost a large amount of weight are experiencing negative side effects due to excess skin in the abdominal area. Prior to surgery, a patient must have maintained a stable weight for at least six months. Women planning to bear children should not have the procedure.
